The Smart Smoke Detector has a wireless connection to your Smart system.
It will react if smoke is detected for a set period of time or instantly if a second detector is activated. Detection of smoke will prompt an alert call to ensure that action can be taken, even if your home is empty.
The ESL Supervised Wireless Smoke Sensor is a Learn Mode™, supervised wireless, battery powered photoelectric smoke sensor. The sensor includes a built-in sounder for alarm alerts, a visual status LED (light-emitting diode), and a SAW transmitter. The sensor works as part of a security/fire alarm system and communicates with the system control panel.
Under normal (non-alarm) conditions, the LED flashes once every 8 seconds while the sensor monitors the surrounding conditions. The sensor transmits a supervisory signal every 64 minutes that identifies its status, which the panel processes accordingly.
The smoke sensor also provides the following features:-
- Self-diagnostics monitor sensor sensitivity and operational status.
- Sensor tamper switch that triggers a tamper signal transmission when the sensor is removed from its mounting base.
- Replaceable optical chamber for easy maintenance when required
- Integrated fixed 57.2ºC (135ºF) temperature and rate-of-rise heat detector trips an alarm based on high temperature detected or rapidly rising temperature rate (8.3ºC/minute minimum).
