The X10 protocol is programmed into Smart to allow control over appliances or lights without further wiring.

X10 uses the existing ring main wiring to send a trigger signal to the appliance or lamp module instructing it to turn on or off. The instruction can be triggered by the activation of any sensor or at preset times. The flexibility of Smart and X10 allow you many permutations of home automation linked to home security.

LM12U Lamp Module
Plugs into the A/C Mains and then the plug the lamp fits into the lamp module. The Lamp needs to be permanently switched on so that lights can be controlled remotely.

AM12U Appliance Module
Plugs into the A/C Mains and then the plug of the appliance fits into the appliance module. The appliance needs to be permanently switched on so that it can be controlled remotely.

LM15B Bayonet Module
This module plugs straight into the socket of the light fitting and the bulb will then fit into the module. Connect only with incandescent lamps. 40W min – 100W max open shade or 60W max closed shade – The LM15B does not contain a dimmer.
